FOUR Israeli heroes have been killed in a bloody close-quarters battle with Hezbollah terrorists, the IDF confirmed today.
The elite troops—including a young Captain—were cut down during a ferocious firefight in the “western sector” of Southern Lebanon as Israel’s ground offensive turns into a meat-grinder.
The fallen brave, all aged just 21 and 22, were named as Captain Noam Madmoni, Staff Sgt. Ben Cohen, Staff Sgt. Maxsim Entis, and Staff Sgt. Gilad Harel.
Military sources say the unit from the Nahal Reconnaissance Brigade stumbled upon a hornet’s nest of gunmen hiding in wait. In a “face-to-face” battle, the soldiers managed to take out several terrorists before they were overwhelmed.
Two more soldiers were left “seriously wounded” in the carnage.
As medics scrambled to evacuate the bloodied survivors, Hezbollah cowards fired an anti-tank missile at the rescue team in a desperate bid to rack up a higher body count.
An IDF spokesman said tonight: “Our forces engaged the operatives at close range. We are striking back with tank fire and air strikes to wipe out the cell responsible.”
The deaths come as Israel’s “Security Zone” operation in Lebanon reaches a boiling point. The IDF is currently pushing to clear a buffer zone up to the Litani River to stop rocket fire raining down on northern Israeli towns.
The war ignited on March 2, 2026, after Hezbollah launched a massive wave of attacks following the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Since then, the conflict has spiralled:
The Ground War: Israeli tanks crossed the border on March 16.
The Body Count: More than 1,000 people have been killed in Lebanon, and the IDF has lost 10 soldiers in the latest push.
The Ghost Towns: Nearly one million Lebanese civilians have fled their homes as the Israeli Air Force pounds Hezbollah strongholds in Beirut’s suburbs.
Military experts warn that Hezbollah has reverted to “guerrilla-style” hit-and-run tactics, using a labyrinth of tunnels and hidden bunkers to ambush advancing Israeli patrols.
