I ‘ll name my ministers in September – Buhari

Emmanuel Thomas, Lagos

September 30, 2015 – President Muhammadu Buhari has failed to fulfill his promise to make known names of members of his cabinet before the end of September.

September ends today at midnight. But at at 11:40 pm, the list of his nominees are yet to be made public. All what is available is speculation by his spin doctors that the list is making its way to the Senate.

The list according to speculators was forwarded to the Senate by the President’s Senior Special Adviser for the National Assembly (Senate), Mr. Ita Enang.

But  our correspondent reports that there is yet to be an official confirmation by the Senate that it is in possession of the list.

Nigerians are anxiously awaiting the list even as Buhari is due to address the nation on October 1 to mark Nigeria’s 55 anniversary.

Already Nigerians are disappointed in the person of the President for failing to fulfill his promise.

Already, the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) said at a press conference on last Thursday that Buhari intended to run a monocracy where in he will be all and all, making decision the way he did as military head of state.

But it is not clear if the president will make public the list in his broadcast scheduled for 7 am on Thursday.
