LAGOS, Nigeria – President Muhammadu Buhari has directed security agencies to immediately open all the four land borders that were closed in the past one year to forestall dumping of goods in Nigeria.
President Buhari gave the order via his official twitter handle today.
The borders affected are four and they include Seme, Illela, Maigatari, and Mfun.
“President @Mbuhati has directed the immediate opening of four land borders: Seme, Illela, Maigatari, and Mfun”, the president said.
The closure of the land borders has had negative economic impact on Nigerians, with the price of goods, especially food stuff hitting the roof top.
