January 31, 2015 – President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) and Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari have accepted to take part in a presidential debate put together by organised private sectors.

The debate is being put together by Channels Television, Arise TV in conjunction with the Newspapers Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN).

According to news monitored on Channels, the President has written to accept the invitation while Buhari has also accepted the invitation in principle.

The debate comes up February 3, 2015 and would be made available to all television stations and the social media.

Buhari had declined to take part in a debate put together by the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria(BON) on the ground that it is organised by government organisation and that some of the organizers have tarnished his image.
