Abuja, Aug. 26, 2016 – President Muhammadu Buhari today approved a governing board for the Nigerian Port Authority (NPA) and Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Commission(NIMASA).

The President approved the appointment of Mr. Emmanuel Olajide Adesoye as chairman of NPA and Major General Jonathan India Garba as Chairman NIMASA. The appointments were contained in a statement signed by Director of Press, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Bolaji Adebiyi.

Members appointed into the board of NPA are former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Lagos State, Mr, Supo Shasore(SAN), Suleiman Ibrahim Halilu, Constance Harry Mashal, Umar Shu’aibu, Charles Efe EmukowhateSylvester, Hadiza BalaUsman, Mohammed Bello Koko, Dr. Sekonte DavisProfessor Idris Abubakar and Mrs. I. J. Uche-Okoro.

The rest are members of the NIMASA. They are Asekomhe OaakhiaKenneth, Mohammed GidadoMuazu, Hon. Barrister Ebele Obi, S. U. Galadanchi, Ms Nene Betty Dike, Dakuku Peterside, former Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress(APC) in Rivers State, Rear Admiral Adeniyi Osinowo, Bashir Yusuf Jamoh, Joseph Oluwarotimi Fashakin and Gambo Ahmed.
