LAGOS, Nigeria – The Inspector General of Police, IGP, Usman Baba Ahmed has approved the suspension of the trigger happy drunk police officer, ASP Drambi Vandi, who killed Lagos lawyer and property consultant, Omobolanle Raheem on Christmas Day.
Omobolanle Raheem was shot dead by Vandi in company of her husband while making a turn at Ajah Bridge, on the Lekki Epe Express Way on her way from Christmas service.
In a statement, Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi said the trigger happy officer has been suspended from the police force.
He appealed to members of the public to calm all frayed nerves as hands are on deck to ensure that justice prevails while measures have been put in place to prevent future occurrence.
“He therefore appeals to the public to be calm as all hands are on deck to ensure justice prevails while measures have been put in place to prevent future occurrences”, the IGP said.
