LAGOS, Nigeria – Former Minister of Foreign Affair, Professor Bolaji Akinyemi has called on President Bola Tinubu not to organise another constitutional conference but toll collect the Justice Uwaise, El -Rufai and report of the 2014 Constitutional Conference and set up a small committee to harmonise the reports for implementation.
According to him, doing so will be the surest way for him to galvanise support for and respect for his government.
Bolaji Akinyemi, who was speaking on Arise TV said apart from him who sat on the Uwaise Committee, he said Olisa Agbakoba and Uwaise are two others who are still alive to interogate on the issue.
He said the Justice Uwaise Committee was set up former President of Nigeria, Umaru Musa Yar’ Adua who promised to implement the report without any alteration.
He said the Yar’ Adua again reiterated his commitment to implement the report without alteration when the committee was submitting the report, even without reading it.
