IKOYI, Lagos – The Chief Executive Officer of Firmus Microfinance Bank, one of the most prosperous microfinance bank in Nigeria, Mr Bola Izebvije Monite is dead. He was 47.
He died last night following a prolonged ailment that confined him to a wheelchair.
Monite who is married with kids according to sources close to Firmus Microfinance Bank died last night of kidney failure.
Firmus Microfinance Bank is into loans, savings and investment banking services with offices in Lagos and Abuja.
Bola Monite had a brilliant and very successful career in the banking sector.
According to his profile posted on Firmus Microfinance Bank, Bolanle Izebvije Monite
graduated from Federal University of Technology Akure in March 2001 with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Agriculture & Environmental Science.
He has a distinguished banking career of over a decade, 2 of which were spent at Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank)and five years with Access Bank as a Key Talent staff where he resigned in March 2013 to join KeystoneBank for another 4 years.
He resigned from Keystone Bank in Feb 2018 to lead a dynamic crop of accomplished middle-aged professionals as the Chief Executive Officer of Firmus with the mandate to transform the organisation into a world-class Retail financial services provider.
