October 10, 2015 – At least 47 people have been confirmed dead in Chad when members of the radical Islamic sect, Boko Haram attacked a refugee camp and a market at Baga Sola in the area.
We gathered that 52 other refugees were also injured in the triple bombings. Attacks by the sect has forced many out of their homes into refugee camps in Nigeria and neighbouring towns.
According to news monitored on Al-Jazeera, government officials attribute the attacks to Boko Haram.
Members of the sect have in recent times intensified attacks in Nigeria and neighbouring towns. Chad is Nigeria’s border town.
Just last week, about 18 people were killed when members of the sect carried out simultaneous bombing in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city, forcing the military to beef up security in Abuja.
What followed was a very daring attack on a military base, during which 7 soldiers were killed and 8 others injured.
The military however repelled the attack during which over 100 of terrorists were killed.
