What you buy here, especially sweaters are almost three times more expensive than what you find elsewhere in town

CAPE TOWN, South Africa – From a distance, the Table Mountain towering about 3,558 feet seems more like a cliff uninhabitable.
But it will pass as a community and flat just as the name suggests mainly accessible by tourists through a cable car capable of conveying 65 people at a time although some hikers are able to get to the top on foot.
It’s a rocky terrain with just one massive structure for receiving guests with a main shopping outlet for selling gift items and outfits suited for the cold air which pervades the mountain.
What you buy here, especially sweaters are almost three times more expensive than what you find elsewhere in town.
The main building is surrounded with smaller structures for restrooms and stores which dot the mountain for sales of ice creams, drinks and assorted items needed to make the mountain liveable and memorable for tourists.
It offers the best terrain to shoot photographs against the beautiful landscape which Cape Town offers.
Here 99 percent of visitors are white just as you will find almost everywhere you visit in Cape Town.
But no problem. It’s an atmosphere of conviviality as the young and old mingle savouring what the mountain has to offer – from rodents to birds of different species.
Also worthy of note is the Two Oceans Aquarium situated some kilometers away from the Table Mountain on Duck Road, V&A Waterfront.
Here visitors are presented with aquatic creatures from the Atlantic and Indian Ocean.
Notable sights here are penguins, sharks, stingrays, star fish and other species.
The major fun is seeing the massive shark and stingrays swim above your head as you approach the glassy tunnel with many visitors falling upon one another in the struggle to take a selfie with these caged sea creatures. There are other places of interest which we will bring you subsequently.
