Says The one who claimed to stand for global peace targeted schools

By SCM Correspondent

Firebrand President of Iran has launched a blistering attack on the United States, accusing the superpower of “ruthless” war crimes and the massacre of more than 160 children.

In a series of explosive social media posts, Masoud Pezeshkian torched Washington’s reputation as a global peacemaker, labeling the US a “criminal” state for its alleged role in targeting civilian safe havens.

The Iranian leader didn’t hold back, claiming the US has personally overseen strikes on schools, hospitals, and stadiums.

“The one who claimed to stand for global peace targeted schools, hospitals, stadiums and cultural heritage sites with ruthless attacks,” Pezeshkian fumed on X.

In his most chilling accusation, the President pointed to a specific atrocity in the city of Minab, where he claims the US “massacred over 160 children.”

Raising the stakes for the international community, Pezeshkian warned that those watching from the sidelines are just as guilty as those pulling the trigger.

“Anyone who sees such atrocities and stays silent is a passive accomplice to the criminal,” he barked.

The timing of the outburst is likely to send tensions between Tehran and the West into overdrive as the region remains a powderkeg of conflict.

BACKGROUND: THE FEUD EXPLAINED
To understand why Pezeshkian is lashing out now, you need to look at the deepening rift between the Islamic Republic and the West:

The President’s reference to Minab (a city in southern Iran) appears to be a pointed escalation in rhetoric, likely linking local tragedies or historical grievances directly to American military support or sanctions.

Iran and the US have been locked in a decades-long “cold war,” which has heated up recently due to Iran’s support for proxy groups across the Middle East and its advancing nuclear program.

While Masoud Pezeshkian was initially pitched by some as a “reformist” or moderate compared to his predecessors, this latest rhetoric suggests he is doubling down on the regime’s hardline anti-Western stance to solidify his position at home.

Tehran remains under crushing US-led economic sanctions, which the Iranian government frequently blames for domestic suffering, often framing the West as “economic terrorists.”
