LOS ANGELES- Black Panther star, Chadwick Boseman is dead. He died of cancer at his home in Los Angeles at the age of 43.
Boseman had prior to his role in Black Panther acted with the likes of Jackie Robinson and James Brown in a couple of films.

At the time of his death, his wife and family were on his side, his family said in a statement.
According to them Boseman was diagnosed four years with stage III colon cancer and had gone through several chemotherapy.
“It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman .Chadwick was diagnosed with stage 111 colon cancer in 2016 and battled with it these last four years as it progressed to stage IV”, the family said.
Describing him as a true fighter, the family added that “Chadwick persevered through it and all, brought you many of the films you have come to love so much. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several others”, and that all these were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy.

“It was with honour of his career to bring King T’Challa to Life in Black Panther”, his family noted and that he died in his home with his family by his side.
“The family thanks you for your love and prayers and ask that you continue to respect their privacy during this difficult time”, the statement added.
