By Our Man at the London Stadium

CALLUM WILSON proved he is the ultimate Everton kryptonite as he climbed off the bench to fire a 92nd-minute winner and keep West Ham’s survival dream alive.

In a breathless finish at the London Stadium, the Hammers snatched a 2-1 victory that felt like more than just three points—it felt like a lifeline. For former boss David Moyes, returning to his old stomping ground on his 63rd birthday, there were no gifts from his former players.

After a cagey first half that lacked everything but tension, the game exploded into life in the 51st minute. Jarrod Bowen, the tireless heartbeat of this West Ham side, whipped in a corner with clinical precision.

Up rose the towering Tomas Soucek on his 200th Premier League start. The Czech star, who seems to have magnets in his boots whenever a cross enters the box, powered a header past Jordan Pickford to send the Claret and Blue faithful into delirium.

The Hammers looked to be cruising, but this is West Ham—they never do things the easy way. With just two minutes of normal time remaining, Everton’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall silenced the home crowd.

After James Tarkowski kept a cross alive, the former Leicester man lashed home a header that briefly dragged West Ham back into the bottom three.

But Nuno Espirito Santo had an ace up his sleeve. Callum Wilson, the man who eats Everton for breakfast, was summoned from the bench.

In the second minute of stoppage time, Bowen turned provider again, nodding the ball across the face of goal.

There was Wilson, lurking with intent, to snap home his ninth goal in eight games against the Toffees.

The London Stadium erupted. Moyes looked on in disbelief as his 750th Premier League match as a manager ended in heartbreak, while West Ham moved two points clear of the drop zone.

STAR MAN: Jarrod Bowen (West Ham) – Two assists and a relentless engine. The skipper led by example when the pressure was at its peak.
