LONDON, UK – A serving Metropolitan Police officer has been hit with two sickening charges after allegedly sharing messages about the sexual abuse of children.
PC Duncan Bouette, attached to the North East Command unit, was dramatically arrested by specialist crime officers on Tuesday, October 7.
The disgraced copper was then charged with two counts under the Obscene Publications Act just one day later.
It is alleged the 33-year-old PC Bouette sent a series of vile messages relating to the sexual abuse of children on November 18, 2024.
But the shame deepens as the officer faces a second, shocking allegation.
He is also accused of sending messages via a secure application that relate to “extreme, violent sexual practices” between Thursday, October 2 and Friday, October 3, 2025.
The officer was instantly suspended from duty while in police custody before being remanded to court following the charge.
A Met spokesman confirmed the force’s own internal affairs team, the Directorate of Professional Standards, has been informed as is routine in such dreadful circumstances.
PC Bouette is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday, October 9, to face the charges.
The shocking case comes as the Met Police continues its struggle to clean up its reputation amid a series of misconduct scandals.
