December 6, 2015 – The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) continued in its winning ways in the election conducted by the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) in Bayelsa on Saturday.
In the results so far released in Yenegoa, Kolokuma/ Opokuma and Sagbama Local Government, the PDP demonstrated that it is favoured to win the polls, taking the lead in all the three local governments whose results were declared few minutes ago. The three LGAS have the largest registered voters.
We gathered that the APC governorship candidate, Chief Timipre Sylva, in the company of thugs, forced INEC adhoc staff to thumb print for the APC at gunpoint at a polling unit in ward 4, Brass Local Government Area.
The incident, we gathered took place at Dakuraku open field in Brass LGA, where the NYSC members, working for INEC allegedly rigged the election in favour of the APC for the safety of their lives.
Meanwhile, the PDP has called on INEC to urgently investigate the matter and take necessary action to forestall future occurrences.
