BAYER LEVERKUSEN, Germany — Bayer Leverkusen delivered a stunning statement of intent in the Bundesliga last night, utterly demolishing bottom-club FC Heidenheim with a ruthless 6-0 victory at their fortress, the BayArena.

The historic venue, nestled in Leverkusen, witnessed an avalanche of goals as the home side turned on the style, netting five times before the half-time whistle even blew.

The match quickly became a celebration for the home faithful packing the 30,210-capacity BayArena. Known for its intimate atmosphere and modern structure, the stadium has long been a tough ground for visiting teams, but Heidenheim’s defence was simply blown away by the home team’s attacking intensity.

Patrik Schick, fresh from an early assist, set the tone just minutes into the game, slotting home the opener to kick off the BayArena frenzy.

Jonas Hofmann doubled the lead, before Schick secured his brace just past the 20-minute mark to make it 3-0.

The crowd, which stood testament to the club’s loyal following, was treated to a masterclass in attacking football. Goals from Poku and Ibrahim Maza rounded off a sensational first half that left the visitors dazed, trailing 5-0.

Leverkusen continued their dominance after the break, with Maza grabbing his second to complete the sensational 6-0 rout.

The result is a major confidence booster for the club, who consolidated their position in the top half of the table, showcasing exactly why the BayArena has become such a feared stop on the Bundesliga circuit. For Heidenheim, it was a day to forget at a venue they will be in no hurry to revisit.
