“We have decided to end our marriage”

LAGOS, Nigeria – These are definitely not the best of time for Nigeria’s most valuable comedian, Bright Okpocha better known as Basketmouth.
He is weeping as he announced that his twelve year old marriage has hit the rock. Basketmouth married his lovely wife Elsie in 2010 at an elaborate ceremony.
But the comedian says, he and Elsie have decided to go their separate ways and he is requesting friends and associates to respect their privacy.
He said the decision was made together and that it was a painful one but that they will continue to work together to give their beautiful children all the care, love, guidance and support they need.
“As much as it pains me to bring my personal life to the public space, this is an unavoidable situation.
“After much deliberation, my wife and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage.
“As we move forward separately, we will continue to work together to give our beautiful children all the care, love, guidance and support they need.
“We humbly ask that you respect our privacy as we navigate through these times. Thank you”, he said.
