AWKA, Anambra – The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Awka Chapter, has recognized Barrister Chukwudi Oli for his exemplary punctuality, dedication to duty, and outstanding commitment to the timely and effective practice of law.

Following this recognition, the NBA conferred an Award of Excellence on him for upholding the legal profession in accordance with the standards of legal practice in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Oli is a frontline aspirant for the House of Representatives seat representing Dunukofia, Njikoka, and Anaocha Federal Constituency of Anambra State.

He is contesting under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) at the 2027 general elections.

He received the award at the 5th edition of Ozo Amanke Okafor Memorial Lecture, held in Awka on Thursday, where members of the Awka Chapter unanimously recognized him as a committed supporter of the NBA in Nigeria.

In his acceptance speech, the House of Representatives hopeful expressed deep appreciation for the honour.

“I feel very happy receiving this award from my primary constituency. Law is what I do for a living; it is what I have devoted my life to. Receiving this recognition from my own constituency makes me feel fulfilled.

“I have been actively involved in Bar activities across Nigeria. I am a Bar man to the core, and this recognition will spur me to do even more for the Association and society at large,” he said.

While urging members of the NBA Awka Chapter to continue supporting justice and promoting the rule of law, Barrister Oli emphasized the need for legal professionals to take the lead in steering the nation toward unity, progress, and development.

He also pledged to deploy his legal expertise toward the growth and development of his constituency, Anambra State, the South-East region, and the country at large, if elected to the Green Chamber of the National Assembly in 2027.

“I have a vision for Anambra State to become a front-runner in implementing progressive reforms across all sectors of human development in the years ahead.

“I am in this race to contribute my quota to nation-building. Therefore, I appeal to the good people of Dunukofia, Njikoka, and Anaocha Federal Constituency to support my ambition and give me the opportunity to demonstrate transparency and accountability in governance,” Oli added.

In their separate remarks, the Chairman of the NBA Awka Chapter, Barrister Nnamdi Raphael Anagor, and the Chairman of the Organising Committee, Barrister G.U. Moneke, expressed appreciation for Oli’s presence at the event.

They commended his continued support for the less privileged in Anambra State and beyond, as well as his competence, professionalism, and dedication to the practice of law.
