January 7, 2015 – Price of crude oil on Tuesday dropped below the $50 mark to settle at $46.69 in the international market. The Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) said on Tuesday that a basket of twelve crude stood at 46.69 dollars a barrel on Tuesday, compared with $48.99 the previous day, OPEC said. January 7, 2015 – The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Suleiman Abba has vowed to pay salaries of missing police officers for one year to their wives. The IGP made the vow when he visited wives of officers declared missing following the attack by Boko Haram insurgents at the Police Mobile Training College, Gwoza on the 20th August, 2014. January 6, 2015 – The Lagos State House of Assembly today passed the 2015 appropriation of N489,689,869,621 for the state government. The budget as presented to the house by Governor Babatunde Fashola comprises recurrent expenditure of N241,977 and capital expenditure of N247,713.
