Nigeria, April 13, 2016 – Amnesty International (AI) has called on the Nigerian Army to investigate circumstances surrounding the massacre of 347 Shi’ites by the military. Specifically AI is called on government to exhume all the 347 members of the group and send them for forensic examination and reveal the whereabouts of those responsible for the massacre. “The bodies must be exhumed and Nigerian authorities should immediately reveal the whereabouts of those held in unacknowledged detention and either charge or release them,” Country Director of Amnesty International Nigeria, M.K. China,April 13, 2016 – At least 18 workers are feared to have been killed and about several others injured in Guangdong Province when a construction crane collapsed. We gathered that collapse of the crane was caused by a gale which hit the crane forcing it to cave at about 5:40am. Video footage by China’s state news agency, Xinhua showed an ambulance rushing those badly injured to a nearby hospital.
