Atiku Abubakar Flags Off Presidential Campaign; Pledges to Build New Nigeria

September 24, 2014 – Former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has formerly flagged off his presidential campaign in Lagos.

Atiku who is running under the All Progressive Congress (APC) flagged off the campaign ahead of the APC primaries coming up in November 2014.

Atiku will however contend with the likes of former Nigeria’s Head of State, General Mohammed Buhari, seen as favourite of the APC, Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, Governor of Kano State, Mr. Rabiu Kwankwanso and Publisher of Leadership, Mr. Sam Nda-Isaiah.

Speaking at the event in Lagos, the former governor of Adamawa State said his mission in politics is to build a new Nigeria where Nigeria will be for all irrespective of ethnic or religious differences.
He also vowed to fight corruption which many see as the bane of Nigeria’s development.
