Okays PHC for Arepo
AREPO, Nigeria -Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun on Saturday visited Arepo Community as part of his inspection of ongoing road projects in the state.
Chairman Journalists Estate CDA, Mrs. Olufunke Fadugba who received the governor thanked him for making good his promise after two months of announcement of approval of the road project.
Fadugba who was former Chairman of Lagos NUJ appealed to the governor to kindly look into compensation of residents affected by the recent Urban planning enforcement/ demolition exercise.
She also used the opportunity to appeal to the governor for provision of a Primary Healthcare Centre (PHC) in Arepo community which.
Speaking during the visit, the governor told residents that the Arepo Road project will be completed in less than the 9 months time frame earlier given by the contractor. The governor also gave an assurance that all residents affected by any form of demolition will be duly compensated as this has been built/ factored in the contract.
He also said regarding the primary health care center that state executive council has already met with CDAs to identify where essential services like the Primary Health Care ( PHC) and Fire service will be provided. He assured residents that Arepo will have a PHC in the next 3 months.
The community leaders present at the venue used the opportunity to shower encomium on the governor for the visit and the good gestures showered to the community in quick succession to boost the development and yearnings of his people.
The governor also inspected ongoing reconstruction of Akute-Denro-Ishasi-Oluwakemi Road in Ifo LGA and Lambe-Ijoko area.
