CAIRO Egypt – Arab leaders have adopted the Egyptian reconstruction proposal for the Gaza Strip.
The proposal involves the deployment of $53 billion in the reconstruction plan under the supervision of the Palestinian Authority, PA.
The Palestinian Authority will oversee the project through a Gaza Administration Committee for the first six months before the PA will take over upon full return to the Gaza Strip.
While addressing the summit in Cairo, Foreign Minister of Egypt, Badr Abdellaty said the proposal will be endorsed as an Arab and Islamic proposal during the summit of Organization for Islamic Cooperation, OIC in Jeddah.
