The emerging All Progressive Congress (APC) has recorded another draw-back, as chairman of the All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP) in the state, one of the parties in the merger, Dr. Vitalis Ajumbe has resigned from the party over what he described as make-up of the party.

He described the APC as a good party, stressing that his problem is with the component of the party which he said leaves much to be desired.

“The APC is a good party but the problem lies with the component and as such I do not see any light at the end of the tunnel and again since there is also no light in the ANPP, hence I am constrained to leave now”, he said, adding that as far as he is concerned there is no APC in Imo state.

“As far as I am concerned, there is no APC in Imo and of course there cannot be any APC in Imo without ACN and ANPP, he said adding that his former party, ANPP is still indebted to him to the tune of N22 million, which said was incurred while he was piloting affairs of the party.

While ruling out the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as his next option, Ajumbe lamented that he loved ANPP adding that he vowed never to leave the party at point of joining it because of what he described as freedom of speech and internal democracy which he said the party offers.
