December 31, 2014 – Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola on Thursday made a passing statement declaring that Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) will defeat Mr. Jimi Agbaje, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Fashola who was speaking in his state of the union address in Lagos said his party had defeated the PDP back to back in previous elections adding that Abaje only got 3 percent of total votes in 2007 election.
“They do not represent any threat to us”, he said, adding that the PDP cannot get rail, power. “Do you want to inject that failure into Lagos?”, he queried.
