WASHINGTON – Ambassador Philip T. Reeker has been appointed as Chargé d’Affaires, ad interim, at the Embassy of the United States of America to the Court of St. James’, with effect from August 1, 2021.

Ambassador Philip T. Reeker is a career diplomat with the rank of Minister Counselor and he  is currently the Acting Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs.

Prior to leading the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, Ambassador Reeker was Civilian Deputy and Policy Advisor to the Commander of U.S. European Command in Stuttgart, Germany, and from 2008-2011 he was the U.S. Ambassador to North Macedonia.

In a statement, Spokesperson Department of States said the United States has no closer Ally than the United Kingdom, and  that Ambassador Reeker is dedicated to continuing to advance this special relationship.
