SYRIA – Al-Qaida has announced that its leader in the Arabian Peninsula Khaled Batarfi has died.
The group also announced a replacement in the person of Saad bin Atif al-Awlaki.
In a new video, AQAP prominent figure, Ibrahim al-Qossi announced that Khaled Batarfi died. He did not mention what was responsible for his demise.
Furthermore, al-Qossi stated that the new leader of Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula(AQAP) is Saad bin Atif al-Awlaki.
