NASARAWA, Nigeria – The Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN has organised a Youth Educational Film Festival, YEFF and acting audition and filmmaking training at the Nasarawa State University.

The events were held on Friday July 14, 2023, with a large turnout of students aspiring to be actors and in attendance.

AGN put together the event  in collaboration with “I am the Future of Nigeria Youth Initiative” and “Abuja Film Village”, which is aimed at providing a platform for young talents to showcase their skills and learn to make contents towards nation building. 

It also offered an opportunity for the participants to produce films that will be featured at the Youth Educational Film Festival slated to hold at the International Conference Center, Abuja on the 1st and 2nd of September, 2023.

The Youth Educational Film Festival is aimed at galvanizing Nigerian youths through creative and educational contents that will help sensitize and inspire them towards making positive contributions to the development.

“We paid a courtesy call on the Vice Chancellor of the University who was represented by Professor Abdullahi Modibbo, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) of the university”,AGN said, adding that it appreciates the university for availing their students the opportunity to acquire practical skills in line with what they learn in class. 

Prof. Modibbo commended our choice of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, for the pilot project which, according to him, was timely and critical to nation building. He assured us of the university’s willingness to continue to partner in areas that will build capacity of not just the students, but the staff as well.

Managing Director of Abuja Film Village, Mrs. Fran Ibezim and the Country Director of I am the Future of Nigeria Youth Initiative, Mrs. Noni Okocha appreciated the university for the opportunity to add value to the next generation of actors
