LAGOS, Nigeria – Veteran presenter and producer of Nigeria’s longest running independent TV show, ‘Inside-Out with Agatha’ has announced her decision to exit the show as it reaches its twentieth anniversary this year.
Agatha Amata made the shock announcement today in Lagos at a press conference held in her studios.
Agatha who said she decided to call time on her presentation of the widely followed talk show because she felt it was time to move on to other things and leave the stage for younger people to express themselves, said her final recording as host of the show will be on the fourth of August 2017.
Agatha also announced that she would be blazing a new trail as she unveiled a TV reality show titled ‘The Search’ designed to discover the new host of the ‘Inside-Out with Agatha talk show. According to her, the show will be the first ever reality TV show without a prize attached to it.
Our Correspondent Immanuel Odeyemi reports that Agatha will draw the curtain on a twenty-year period of hosting the show with a final episode titled ‘Nigeria Beyond Oil: The Future”.
