ABUJA, Nigeria – President Muhammadu Buhari has written to the National Assembly, notifying it of his intention to proceed on a 10-day medical leave.

This is the third time that Buhari is proceeding on leave in less than two years. In February 2016, Buhari took his first vacation since assuming office as‎ president. He wrote again to the Senate seeking to go on a short medical vacation from 6th-16th of June, 2016.
