ABUJA, Nigeria – The gale of defection which earlier on hit the red chamber with 15 people crossing over to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has recocheted to the House of Representatives where 32 people have crossed over to the PDP, while four others left (CUUP) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The PDP announced the development today on the social media, adding that what has happened is nothing but the beginning of the end of a draconian regime. #rescue2019, the party said, adding “This victory is for Democracy. A step that will save our nation from despotism, fascism and totalitarianism….1”, he said.
“Breaking News! Gale of defection hits @OfficialAPCNg as 32 Honorable members of the APC in the House of Representatives have defected to the @OfficialPDPNig and 4 others to one of our sister Party, (CUUP), the African Democratic Congress (ADC). …More to come”, the PDP said in on tweeter.
Reacting to the development, Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr. Kola Ologbodiyan tweeted….”No individual, no matter how powerful or highly placed shall be greater than our country, Nigeria.
