May 6, 2015 – Staff of Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education (AOCED), Otto-Ijanikin are bracing up for a showdown with authorities of the institution following allegations of mismanagement of funds and high level corruption.
The local union has accused the Special Adviser to Governor Babatunde Fashola on Education, Mr. Fatai Olukoga of conniving with the Provost, Wakil Bashorun to deny academic staff and other workers of their entitlements.
Reacting to statement credited to the Provost on financial record of the institution, the union challenged him to explain the whereabouts of over two hundred million naira pension funds deducted from salary of staff.
For now, the union noted that senior staffs are being owed between five and nine month salary arrears.
However, the embattled Provost of Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Wakil Bashorun denied allegation of financial misconduct leveled against adding that he has been able to offset salary arrears based on availability of funds.
