Says Song will ruin Nigeria’s future

LAGOS, Nigeria – Celebrated filmmaker and former President Directors Guild of Nigeria, Dr. Don Pedro Obaseki is furious with Olamide  Adediji  better known as  Bado, following the release of his new song now enjoying airplay on radio.

 Bado has entitled the song  trending online as  ‘ Science student’ and he is using it promote all sorts of illegality against Nigeria’s legal system that will further ruin the future of the Nigerian youths.

Don Pedro Obaseki, who  was visibly traumatized by the audio said  the fact that the audio is in Yoruba would make many to pass the message  as harmless.  

Science Student, he said is encouraging our students to mix all sorts of drugs, to take tramadol to do Monkey tale, to do all sorts of drugs”, stressing that it would be totally detrimental to future of the Nigerian youths if the music allowed to be aired.

He is of the view that Science Student by Bado,  must be banned and should not be allowed to hit the airwaves. Besides call on Bado to pull down the music and change the content, he has equally called on the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency ( NDLEA), the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC),  and relevant agencies to take up their responsibility to save the mind of the Nigerian kid.

According to him,  the Nigerian kids  have been protesting against the norm with  their style of dressing, Rastafaran hair style, sagging  trousers among others, warning that Nigeria cannot be at the end of the devil’s spoon.

“Nigeria cannot be at the  end of the devil’s spoon.  Get hold of Olamide to make him ambassador of good behavior, for children because we cannot be buying his records and clinking on his links only for our children to be the one to be at the receiving end of his apostate pronouncement and music.

“This is enough, enough is enough,  I don’t only speak as a  Nigerian  but as an investor on the Nigerian  content sector. I beg him to pull down that song and change that music, that is the song that will  be the nail on the coffin of the future of our children”, Dr. Don  Pedro Obaseki warned.
