Coronavirus Pandemic: Death toll now 4,845, 989 globally
LAGOS, Nigeria – Globally, there are now 237, 480, 669 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, 4,845, 989 patients have passed on, while 6, 443, 499,483 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted, reporting 44, 313, 774 confirmations and 712, 936 deaths, followed by India, which has reported 33, 935, 309 all time cases, while 450,375 patients are no more and Brazil which has documented 21, 550, 730 all time cases, while 600, 425 patients have died from the pandemic.
The United Kingdom remains the 4th country most hit, reporting 8, 158, 929 all time infections, while 138, 101 patients have kicked the bucket, followed by Russia, which has registered 7, 631, 034 all time cases, while 211,627 patients have lost their lives as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic and Turkey, which has registered 7, 387,507 confirmations and 65, 778 deaths.
France has been pushed down as the 7th country most hit by the pandemic, reporting 7, 152, 009 all time infections, while 117, 915 patients are no more, followed by Iran, which has registered 5, 691, 634 all time cases, while 122, 370 patients have been killed by the virus and Argentina, which has documented 5,265,058 all time infections, while 115, 444 lives have been wasted by the virus.
Spain remains the 10th country most hit, reporting 4, 973, 619 all time cases and 86, 778 deaths and South Africa, the most hit in Africa with 2, 911, 497 all time cases, while 88, 292 patients have been killed by the virus.
