Coronavirus kills 1778 patients in the United States
LAGOS, Nigeria – Globally, total number of Coronavirus infections now stands at 235,696, 608 all time cases, 4, 814, 312 patients are no more, while 6,342,449,084 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States still remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 43, 929, 556 confirmed cases of Coronavirus while 704,908 lives have been wasted by the pandemic(107, 004 new and 1778 deaths*), followed by India, which has reported 33, 853,048 confirmed cases and 449, 260 deaths(18, 346 new and 263 deaths*) and Brazil, which has documented 21,478, 546 all time cases, while 598, 152 patients have died from the pandemic (10, 425 new and 204 deaths*) .
The United Kingdom has come up as the 4th country most hit, reporting 8,005, 433 confirmations, while 137, 544 lives have been killed by the pandemic(33, 361 new and 173 deaths*), followed by Russia with 7, 524, 465 all time cases, while 207, 932 lives are no more(25, 465 new and 876 deaths*) and France with 7, 127, 453 all time cases, while 117, 727 patients have passed on as a result of the pandemic(5946 new and 70 deaths*).
Turkey remains the 7th country most hit, reporting 7, 267, 047 all time cases, while 64, 909 patients have been killed, followed by Iran, which has reported 5, 651,961 all time infections and 121,563 deaths(13, 226 new and 216 deaths*) and Argentina, which has registered 5, 260, 719 confirmed cases, while 115,283 lives are no more(981 new and 38 deaths*).
Spain has come up as the 10th country most afflicted, reporting 4, 967, 200 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 86, 621 lives have perished(1801 new and 94 deaths*) and South Africa, the most afflicted country in Africa.
South Africa which has documented 2,907, 619 confirmations and 87, 922 deaths since the outset of the pandemic(768 new and 103 deaths*).
