LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 610  new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 179, 118.  But out of the 179, 118  all time cases,  166, 131 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 194 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 12,987 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 2 patients died in the last 24 hours.

NCDC: 610 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 281,  Rivers – 152,  Akwa Ibom  -85,  Ogun – 21, Oyo – 21, Ekiti – 14, FCT – 13, Delta – 7, Edo-6, Ondo – 4, Bayelsa – 2, Kano – 2, Plateau – 2: 179, 118 confirmed; 166, 131 discharged; 2, 194 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

There are now over 203, 815, 431  all time cases of Coronavirus pandemic, 4, 310, 623 patients are already dead, while 4, 474, 085, 923 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics  from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 36, 039, 748  confirmations and 618, 044 deaths(102, 662 new and 741 deaths*), followed by India which has registered 31,998, 158 confirmed cases, while 428,682 patients have been killed by the virus(28, 204 mew and 373 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 20, 177, 757 all time cases, while 563,562 patients have passed on(12, 085 new and 411 deaths*).

Russia has returned as the 4^th country most hit by the virus, reporting 6, 404, 960  all time infections, while 163, 629 patients are no more(20, 765 new and 769 deaths*), followed by France with 6, 400, 565 confirmations and 112, 557 deaths(26, 740 new and 136 deaths*) and  the United Kingdom, which has documented 6, 146, 488 all time cases, while 130,813 lives are no more(23, 481 new and 146 deaths*).

Turkey remains the 7^th country most hit, reporting 5, 942, 241 all time infections, while 52,313 patients have perished(23, 731 new and 117 deaths*), followed by Argentina  with 5, 029, 075 all time infections, while 107, 961 patients have died from the virus and  Colombia which has registered 4, 843, 007 all time cases, while 122, 601 patients have passed.

Spain remains the 10^th country most hit by the virus, reporting 4, 463,450 confirmed cases, while 82, 227 patients have died(15, 680 new and 102 deaths*) and South Africa which has documented 2, 546,762 all time cases, while 75, 201 patients have passed on(6540 new and 189 deaths*).
