LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed 50 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 167, 909. But out of the 167, 909 cases, 164, 400 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 122 lives could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 1387 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic.
“NCDC#COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-31, Yobe -11, FCT-4, Ogun – 3, Rivers – 1: 167, 909 confirmed; 164, 400 discharged; 2, 122 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.
There are now 184, 019,528 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 3,980, 409 patients are no more, while 3, 219,445,929 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the recent statistics from the Cenfre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
The centre still reports the United States as the most afflicted country so far with 33, 722,176 confirmed cases and 605,567 deaths(5799 new cases and 48 deaths*) , followed by India which has documented 30, 585, 229 all time cases, while 402, 728 patients have passed on(39, 796 new cases and 723 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 18, 769,808 all time cases, while 524, 417 patients are no more(27, 783 new cases and 830 deaths*).

France has come up as the 4th country most hit with 5, 848,967 total infections while 111, 359 patients have died from the pandemic(796 new cases and 36 deaths*), followed by Russia with 5,568, 104 total cases and 136, 279 deaths(23, 895 new cases and 642 deaths*) and Turkey which has documented 5, 440, 368 all time cases, while 49, 874 patients have passed since the outset of Coroanvirus pandemic.
The Untied Kingdom remains the 7th country most hit, reporting 4, 947, 247 all time cases, while 128, 495 lives have perished(27, 091 new cases and 9 deaths*), followed by Argentina, which has registered 4, 535, 473 all time cases and 95, 904 deaths(9000 new cases and 310 deaths*) and Colombia which has reported 4, 350,495 confirmed cases, while 108,896 patients are no more(26, 265 new cases 582 deaths*).
Italy has retained the 10th spot, reporting 4, 263, 797 all time infections while 127,680 patients have been killed by the pandemic(480 new cases and 31 deaths*) and South Africa which has reported 2, 075, 409 all time cases, while 62, 171 lives are no more(12, 513 new cases and 331 deaths*).
