LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed  29 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases in the country to  167, 430.

But out of the 167, 430 confirmed cases, 163, 937 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2,119 others could not make it alive, while one patient died in the last 24 hours, leaving Nigeria with 1374 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic.

“@NCDC: 29 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-16; Rivers-3; Kaduna-3; Kwara-2; Delta-2; Ondo-2 and Ogun-1; 167,430 confirmed; 163,937 discharged; 2,119 deaths”, the NCDC has reported.

There are now  180, 267, 388 confirmed cases of Coronavirus  pandemic worldwide, 3, 905, 890 deaths, while  2, 805, 750,020  doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most affected country globally, reporting 33, 601, 692 all time cases, while 603, 516 lives have been wasted(13, 704 new and 406 deaths*), followed by India which has reported 30, 134, 445 all time cases, while 393, 310 patients have been killed by the pandemic(51, 667 new and 1329 deaths*) and Brazil which has documented 18, 322, 760  all time cases,  while 511, 142 lives have been killed by the pandemic(49, 277 new and 2001 deaths*).

France has come up as the 4th country most hit by the pandemic, now reporting 5, 828, 264  all time cases, while 111, 101 lives have passed on(2130 new and 33 deaths*) followed by Turkey with  5, 398, 878 confirmed cases, while 49, 473 patients have died(5630 new and 56 deaths*) and Russia which has confirmed 5, 346, 005 all time cases, while 129, 869 patients have perished(20,065 new and 591 deaths*).

The United Kingdom has come up as the 7th country most hit, reporting 4, 715,  990  cases, while 128, 330 patients have perished(15, 299 new and 18 deaths*), followed by Argentina which has reported 4, 350, 564  confirmations, while 91, 438 patients are no more(24,463 new and 452 deaths*) and Italy with 4, 256, 451  all time cases, while 127, 418 lives are no more(151 new and 40 deaths*) .

Colombia is now the 10th country most hit, reporting 4, 060, 013  all time cases, while 102, 636 lives have been wasted(32, 997 new and 689 deaths*) and South Africa, which has reported 1, 895, 905 all time infections while 59, 621 lives have been wasted by the pandemic(18, 762 new and 215 deaths*).
