LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 14 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 165,167. But out of the 165,167 confirmed cases, 155,361 others have been treated and discharged, while 2,063 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7743 active cases of Coronavirus.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Osun-3, Ogun-3, Kaduna-3, Akwa Ibom-2, Abia-1, FCT-1 and Kwara 1,making a total of 14 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 152, 406, 001 confirmed cases Coronavirus, 3, 196, 275 patients have been killed by the pandemic, while 89, 201, 240 others have recovered and therefore discharged.

The world is now left with 60, 008, 486 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States of America remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 32, 415, 345 confirmed cases, while 577, 007 others have lost their lives(37, 700 new and 401 deaths*), followed by India, which has registered 19, 557, 457 all time infections, 215, 542 lives have been lost to the pandemic, while 15, 992, 271 others have recovered and subsequently discharged, leaving India with 3, 349, 644 active cases of Coronavirus(392, 488 new and 3689 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 14, 725,975 all time infections, 406, 437 patients have lost their lives as a result of the pandemic, while 13, 045, 772 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with 1, 273, 766 active cases of Coronavirus(66, 964 new and 2656 deaths*).

France has come up as the 4^th country most hit, reporting 5, 713, 393 all time cases, 104, 980 deaths and 362, 043 recoveries, leaving France with 5, 256, 370 active cases of Coronavirus(9888 new and 113 deaths*), followed by Turkey with 4, 875, 388 confirmed cases, 40, 844 deaths and 4, 480, 381 recoveries, leaving Turkey with 354, 163 active cases of Coronavirus(25, 980 new and 340 deaths*) and Russia with 4, 768, 476 all time cases, 109, 011 patients have been killed by the virus, while 4,393, 260 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Russia with 266, 205 active cases of Coronavirus(8574 new and 336 deaths*).

The United Kingdom remains the 7^th country most affected, reporting 4, 435, 831 registered cases of Coronavirus, 127, 796 patients have passed on while 14, 684 others are now hale and hearty, leaving the UK with 4,293, 351 active cases of Coronavirus(1674 new and 14 deaths*), followed by Italy with 4, 044, 762 confirmations, 121,177 lives are no more, while 3, 492, 679 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Italy with 430, 906 active cases of Coronavirus(9145 new and 144 deaths*) and Spain which has documented 3, 524, 077 confirmed cases, 78, 216 lives are no more, while 150, 376 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Spain with 3, 295, 485 active cases of Coronavirus.

Germany is the 10^th country worst affected by the pandemic, reporting 3, 425, 865 confirmations, 83, 215 patients have been killed by the pandemic while 3, 037, 350 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Germany with 305, 300 active cases of Coronavirus(15, 044 new and 104 deaths*) and South Africa which has reported 1, 582, 842 all time infections, 54, 417 patients have lost their lives to the pandemic, while 1, 507, 778 others have recovered and subsequently discharged, leaving South Africa with 20, 647 active cases of Coronavirus(1632 new and 11 deaths*).
