    In 24 hours Coronavirus kills 4530 patients in Italy as Nigeria reports 1368 cases

    TOP NEW CASES IN 24 HOURS

    USA: 55, 123

    Brazil : 32, 197

    France: 19, 620

    Russia; 13, 030

    UK: 10, 629

    Italy: 10, 368

     

    LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, (NCDC) has confirmed 1368 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 148, 296. But out of the confirmed 148, 296 all time cases, 124, 483 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1777 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 22, 036 active cases of Coronavirus, while 16 patients died in the last 24 hours.

    Breakdown of the new cases is as follows,  Anambra-344 Oyo-172 FCT-148 Benue-107 Rivers-95 Ogun-59 Ondo-56 Ebonyi-53 Kaduna-52 Plateau-46 Kwara-36 Enugu-30 Akwa Ibom-26 Osun-22 Edo-20 Abia-17 Kano-16 Borno-15 Cross River-10 Delta-8 Gombe-8 Imo-7 Ekiti-5 Sokoto-4 Jigawa-3 Bayelsa-3 Nasarawa-3 and Zamfara-3, making a total of 1368 new cases of Coronavirus.

    There   are now 109, 377, 180 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 2, 414,570 lives have been lost to the virus, while 61, 504, 887 others have survived the pandemic. The world is now left with  45, 457, 723 active cases of Coronavirus  based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 27, 731,625 confirmed cases, while 487, 495 lives have been wasted by the pandemic(55, 123 new and 1389 deaths*), followed by India which has reported 10, 925, 710 confirmed cases, 155, 813 patients have passed on while 10, 633, 025 others  have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving India with  136, 872 active cases(9490 new and  81 deaths*), followed by Brazil which has registered  9, 866, 710 total cases,  239, 773 others are no more, while 8, 836, 597 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with 790, 340 active cases of Coronavirus(32, 197 new and 528 deaths*).

    The United Kingdom has remained as the 4th country worst hit, reporting  4,070,323 confirmations, 118, 421 patients are already dead, while 10, 974 others have been successfully assisted to the point of recovery, leaving the UK with 3, 940, 928 active cases of Coronavirus(10, 629 new and 801 deaths*), followed by Russia which has documented  4,053, 535 confirmations, 79, 659 deaths and 3, 584,477 recoveries, leaving Russia with 389, 399 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 030 new and 449 deaths*) and France which has registered 3, 548, 446 all time cases, 82, 960 patients have passed on, while 250, 477 others have been treated and discharged, leaving France with 3, 215, 009 active cases of Coronavirus(19, 620 new and 586 deaths*).

    Spain has come up as the 7th country worst hit, reporting  3, 096,343  registered cases, 69, 979 deaths and 150,376 recoveries, leaving Spain with 2, 875, 988 active cases(10, 057 new and 4530 deaths*), followed by Italy which has documented 2, 739, 591 all time cases, 94, 171 patients have died of the pandemic, while 2, 251,734 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving Italy with 393, 686 active cases of Coronavirus(10, 368 new and 336 deaths*) and Turkey, now reporting 2, 602, 034 all time cases, 27, 652 deaths and 2, 489,624 recoveries, leaving Turkey with 85, 758 active cases of Coronavirus(7906 new and 90 deaths*).

    Germany has maintained its place as the 10th country worst hit, reporting 2, 352,755 confirmed cases, 65, 829 patients are no more, while 2, 150, 082 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Germany with 136, 844 active cases of Coronavirus(5882 new and 541 deaths*) and South Africa, which has registered 1, 492,909 all time infections,  48, 094 patients are now dead, while 1, 396, 951 others are now hale and hearty, leaving South Africa with 47, 864 active cases of Coronavirus(1102 new*).
