LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 1883 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 130, 557. But out of the 130, 557 confirmed cases, 103, 712 patients have been treated and discharged, while  1578 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 25, 267 active cases of Coronavirus.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-1040, FCT-298, Anambra-86, Rivers-54, Taraba-45, Ogun-42, Oyo-40, Akwa Ibom-38, Sokoto-30, Ebonyi-30, Imo-28, Kaduna-28, Osun-27, Kano-21, Benue-19, Edo-17, Gombe-15, Ekiti-9 ,Delta-8, Jigawa-3, Kwara-2, Bayelsa-2 and Plateau-1, making a total of 1883 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 102,350,272 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide,  2, 213, 446 patients have been killed by the virus, while 56, 591,882 others have recovered. The world is now left with 43, 544, 944 active cases of Coronavirus, the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland has reported.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted, reporting 26,012, 880 confirmed cases while 438,239 patients have died of Coronavirus, followed by India which has reported 10, 733,131  confirmations, 154,147 patients have passed on, while 10, 409, 106 others have  been treated and discharged, leaving India with 169, 878  active cases of Coronavirus  and Brazil with 9, 118,513 confirmed cases,  222, 666 patients are no more, while 8, 066,603  others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving Brazil with 829, 244 active cases of Coronavirus.

The United Kingdom remains  the 4th country most hit, reporting  3, 806, 993 confirmed cases, 105, 777 patients are already dead, while 9, 580 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving the UK with 3, 691, 636 active cases of Coronavirus, followed by Russia which has reported 3, 790,265 confirmed cases, 71, 556 patients have passed on while 3, 244,856 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Russia with 473, 853 active cases of Coronavirus and France which has documented  3, 212, 736 confirmed cases, 76,006 patients are no more, while 230, 326 others have survived the ailment, leaving France with 2, 906, 404 active cases of Coronavirus.

Spain has come up as the 7th country worst hit, reporting 2, 743, 119 confirmed cases, 58, 319 deaths, while 150, 376 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Spain with 2, 534, 424 active cases of Coronavirus, followed by  Italy which has confirmed 2, 541,783 cases,  88, 279 patients are already dead, while 1, 990, 152 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Italy with 463, 352 active cases of Coronavirus and Turkey which has documented 2, 470,901 all time cases,  25, 865 patients are no more, while 2, 355, 409 patients have recovered, leaving Turkey with 89, 627 active cases of Coronavirus.

Germany remains the 10th country most hit, reporting 2, 216, 701 confirmed cases,  56, 874 patients are already dead, while 1, 930, 728 others have recovered, leaving Germany with 229, 099 active cases and South Africa which has reported 1, 443,939 confirmed cases , 43, 951 deaths, while 1, 292,921 others have recovered, leaving South Africa with 107, 067 active cases of Coronavirus.
