LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed 829 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 83,576. But out of the 83,576 all time cases, 70,495 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, while 1,247 others could not make it alive. Active cases in Nigeria  has  now risen to 11,834.

Breakdown of the new cases is as  follows, Lagos-296, FCT-291, Kaduna-79, Rivers-40, Kano-35, Nasarawa-25, Bauchi-19, Benue-8, Borno-7, Edo-7, Oyo-7, Sokoto-7, Cross River-3, Jigawa-0 and  Ogun-2, making a total of 829 new cases of Coronavirus.

 There are now 80, 182, 793 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 1,755, 141 patients are already dead, while 45, 250,311 others have been treated successfully and discharged. The world is now left with 33, 177, 341 active cases of Coronavirus worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the worst hit country, reporting 18, 897,780 all time cases, 331,495 patients are already dead, total recoveries  not disclosed(170,820 new cases), followed by India, which has documented 10, 169, 118 confirmed cases, 147, 343 deaths, while 9, 740, 108 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving India with 551, 667 active cases of Coronavirus(22, 273 new cases) and Brazil which has confirmed 7,448,560 cases, 190, 488 patients have lost their lives, while 6, 591, 933 others have recovered, leaving  Brazil with 666,  139 active cases of Coronavirus(22, 967 new cases).

Russia remains the 4th country most hit by the virus, reporting 2, 992, 123 confirmations, 53,539 patients are no more, while  2, 402,122  others have recovered from the virus, leaving Russia with 536, 462 active cases of Coronavirus(28, 833 new cases), followed by France which has documented  2, 607,688 all time cases,  62, 694 deaths and 195, 638 recoveries, leaving France with 2, 349, 356 active cases of Coronavirus(3,093 new cases) and the United Kingdom, which has reported 2, 262, 715  all time cases, 70, 512 patients have lost their lives to the virus, while only 4, 854 patients have been fortunate to survive the ailment,  leaving the UK with  2, 187, 349 patients still down with Coronavirus, praying for divine intervention to survive the pandemic(34, 768 new cases).

Turkey has settled down for days now as the 7th country worst hit, reporting 2, 133,373 all time  cases, 19, 624 deaths, while 1, 994, 034 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Turkey with 119, 715 active cases of Coronavirus(15, 118 new cases), followed by Italy, which has documented  2, 038,759 all time cases,  71, 620 deaths and 1,386,198 recoveries, leaving Italy with 580, 941 active cases of Coronavirus(10, 405 new cases) and Spain which has reported 1, 854,951 confirmations, 49, 824 patients have passed on while 150, 376 patients remain the number that survived since June 2020, leaving Spain with 1, 694, 751 active cases of Coronavirus.

Germany has moved up to the 10th country worst hit, reporting 1, 646, 240 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 29, 666 patients are no more, while 1, 242,273 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving Germany with 374, 301 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 728 new cases) and South Africa, which is the 18th country most hit, with 983, 359 all time cases,  26, 276 deaths and 830, 251 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 126, 832 active cases of Coronavirus(14, 796 new cases).
