LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 318 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 69,255. But out of the 69,255  all time cases,  64,774 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, while  1,180  others could not make it alive. There are now 3301 active cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, #Coronavirusnigeria.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-104,  Kaduna -59,  FCT-50,  Rivers-17,  Ogun-16,  Kano-14,  Nasarawa-14,  Akwa Ibom-10,  Katsina-10,  Edo-7,  Oyo-5,  Sokoto-5,  Plateau-4 and Taraba-3, making a total of 318 new cases of Coronavirus.

A new record has been reached in the total number of confirmed cases worldwide. Specifically, there are now 66, 922, 477 confirmed cases of Coronavirus,  1, 534,083 patients have died, while 42, 962,566 others have been treated successfully and discharged. There are now 22, 425, 828 active cases of Coronavirus, the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University (JHU) Maryland has reported.

According to the centre, the United States of America remains the most afflicted country worldwide, reporting 14, 712, 272  confirmed cases,  282, 057 patients are no more, while  5, 576, 026 others have been treated and discharged, leaving the USA with 8, 854, 189 active cases of Coronavirus(210, 129 new cases), followed by India with 9, 644, 222 all time infections,   140, 182 deaths and  9, 100,  792 others have recovered, leaving India with 403, 248  active cases of Coronavirus(36, 011 new cases) and Brazil with  6, 577,177 all time cases, 176, 628 patients are already dead, while  5, 864,838 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with 535, 711 active cases of Coronavirus(43, 209 new cases).

Russia remains the 4^th country most affected by the virus, reporting  2, 439, 163 all time cases, 42, 675 patients have passed on while 1, 920, 744 others have recovered, leaving Russia with 475, 744 active cases of Coronavirus(28, 701 new cases), followed by France which has documented 2,345, 648  all time cases,  55, 247 deaths and 175, 220 recoveries, leaving France with  2, 115, 181 active cases of Coronavirus(111, 022 new cases), followed by Italy which has reported 1, 728, 878 confirmed cases, 60, 078 patients are already dead, while  913, 494 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving Italy with 755, 306 active cases of Coronavirus(18, 887 new cases).

The United Kingdom has come up as the 7^th country most affected, reporting 1, 727, 751 all time cases, 61, 342 deaths, while only 3, 736 others have been able to survive the pandemic, leaving the UK with 1, 662, 673 active cases of Coronavirus(17, 373 new cases), followed by Spain which has documented 1, 684, 647 all time infections,  46, 252  lives have been lost to the virus, while only 150, 376 patients have been able to survive since the outset, leaving Spain with  1, 488, 019 active cases of Coronavirus and Argentina which has documented  1, 459, 832 all time cases,  39, 632 patients are no more, while  1, 288, 785 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving Argentina with 131, 415 patients still down with Coronavirus, looking for the best of medical care to keep living(5, 201 new cases).

Colombia is the 10^th country worst hit by the virus, reporting  1, 362,249 confirmed cases, 37, 633 patients have passed on while   1, 249, 702 others have regained their health, leaving Colombia with 74, 914 active cases of Coronavirus(9, 642 new cases) and South Africa, now the 18^th country worst hit, reporting 814, 565 all time cases, 22, 206 deaths and 744, 780 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 47, 579 active cases of Coronavirus(4, 116 new cases).
