FLORIDA, United States – The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has announced the arrest of Allen Bien-Aime. He was arrested in Florida. The suspect was declared wanted by the FBI for multiple related crime.
He was wanted in relation to wire fraud, bank fraud, access device fraud, money laundering, aggravated identify theft and theft of public money.
“He is involved in complex identity crime to use personal stolen identifying information belonging to Rhodes Islanders and others to apply online for unemployment benefit and have the benefit directly deposited into one of his many bank accounts opened expressly for receiving fraudulently obtained unemployment insurance benefits payments”, the FBI said.
The FBI also alleged that Allen Bien-Aime’s fraudulently obtained funds were withdrawn shortly after the funds were deposited and posted to bank accounts in the names of other individuals.
In October 6, a Federal arrest warrant was issued for Bien-Aime in the United States District of Rhodes Island after he was charged with wire fraud, bank fraud and conspiracy to commit aggravated identify theft.
