    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed 340 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 51,304.

    Out of the 51, 304 confirmed cases, 37,885 patients have been  discharged, while 996  others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 12, 423 Coronavirus patients.

    Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Kaduna-63, FCT-51, Plateau-38, Lagos-33, Delta-25, Gombe-21, Adamawa-21, Edo-20, Katsina-17, Akwa Ibom-11, Ekiti-10, Rivers-9, Ondo-5,  Ebonyi-4, Cross River-3,  Ogun-3,  Sokoto-2, Imo-2 and  Nasarawa-2, making a total of 340 new cases of Coronavirus.

    “NCDC@NCDCgov 340 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Kaduna-63, FCT-51, Plateau-38, Lagos-33, Delta-25, Gombe-21, Adamawa-21, Edo-20, Katsina-17, Akwa Ibom-11, Ekiti-10, Rivers-9, Ondo-5,  Ebonyi-4, Cross River-3,  Ogun-3,  Sokoto-2, Imo-2,  Nasarawa-2; 51,304 confirmed; 37,885 discharged; 996 deaths”, the NCDC said in a statement.

    Globally, there are currently 22, 792, 475 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 796, 095 deaths,  while 14, 592,  872  patients have been able to overcome the pandemic, based on statistics released by the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains number 1 in the league of most affected countries, reporting 5, 615,  998 all time cases, 175, 204 deaths since the first case was reported, while 1, 946, 866 patients have been declared healthy, leaving the United States with 3, 493, 928 Coronavirus patients to cater for(48,043 new cases), followed by Brazil with 3, 501, 975 all time cases, while  112, 304 patients have passed on over time, while  2, 844, 318 patients have been able to overcome the pandemic, leaving Brazil with 545, 353 Coronavirus patients(45, 323 new cases) and then India with 2, 905, 825 cases since the first case was reported, 54, 849 deaths over time, while  2, 158, 946 patients are now healthy, leaving India with 692, 030 patients receiving treatments in hospital(68, 900 new cases).

    In the 4th place is Russia, with 944, 671 Coronavirus patients,  16, 148 deaths recorded over time while 759, 639  patients have recovered, leaving Russia with 168, 884  patients in the hospital(4, 838 new cases), followed by South Africa with 603, 338 all time cases, 12, 843 accumulated deaths while 497, 169 patients have survived, leaving South Africa with 93, 326 patients on medication in the hospital(3, 398 new cases), followed by Peru with 558, 420 cases since the first issue of Coronavirus was reported in Peru, 26, 834 deaths over time, while 380, 730 others have been discharged, leaving  Peru with 150, 856 patients to cater for.

    Mexico is next with 543, 806 all time cases of Coronavirus, 59, 106 accumulated deaths, while 442, 782 patients have overcome the pandemic, leaving Mexico with 41, 918 Coronavirus patients(6, 775 new cases), followed by  Colombia with 513, 719  accumulated cases, 16, 103 deaths over time, while 339, 124  patients have survived the ailment, leaving Colombia with 158, 492 patients to treat for Coronavirus and Chile, 9th in the league with  393,  769  all time cases, 10, 723  deaths over time,  while  367, 897 patients have been discharged, leaving Chile with 15, 149 live cases of Coronavirus and Spain(10) with  386, 054 accumulated cases,  28, 838 deaths since the first cases was recorded, while 150, 376 patients have been healed, leaving Spain with 206, 840 patients  in the various hospitals(8, 148 new cases).

    Iran is next with 354,764 confirmed cases,  20, 376 deaths over time, while 305, 866 patients  have survived the pandemic, leaving Iran with 28, 522 Coronavirus patients, followed by the United Kingdom(12), which has reported 325, 239 all time cases,  41, 491 deaths over time, while only 1, 544 patients have been able to overcome the pandemic since the first cases was reported in the U.K, leaving the state with 282, 204 patients undergoing treatment for #Coronavirus (1,043 new cases) and then France in the 17th spot in the league of most affected countries.

    France has reported 271, 905 all time cases,  30, 508 deaths over time, while 84, 978 patients have been cured of the pandemic, leaving France with 156, 419 patients to treat for  the pandemic(15, 371 new cases),  followed by Italy  with 257, 065 cases since the first case of Coronavirus was reported in Italy,  35, 427 deaths over time, while 204, 960  others been able to survive the pandemic , leaving Italy with 16, 678 Coronavirus patients(531 new cases) and then China in 33rd spot in the rank with  89, 594 all time cases,  4, 709 deaths over time while 83, 736 patients have been discharged, leaving China to battle with only 1, 149 patients with Coronavirus.
