COVID-19 cases hit 42 in Nigeria, 16,365 die globally, see distribution
ABUJA, Nigeria – Two new cases of the COVID-19 pandemic have been confirmed in Nigeria, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 42.
According to the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control(NCDC), two of those infected have been discharged, one is dead, leaving the country with 39 active cases at present.
Out of the two fresh case, one case of the COVID-19 was confirmed in Lagos and another one in Ogun. The NCDC also confirmed that the case in Ogun is that of a traveler returning to Nigeria, while the one in Lagos had contact with a previously confirmed case.

“2 new cases of #COVID19 have been confirmed in Nigeria. 1 is in Lagos State & 1 in Ogun One case is a returning traveler. The second case is contact of a previously confirmed case As at 1pm on March 24, there are 42 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria-2 discharged, 1 death”, NCDC said.
Globaly, there are 378, 0 41 cases of COVID-19, with 16, 365 deaths. In Italy alone, there 63, 927 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with 6,077 deaths, China 81, 748 with 3,283 deaths, Italy now having the highest number of deaths. Iran has reported 23,049 confirmed cases with 1,812 deaths.

United States has reported 46, 442 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with 590 deaths. In the United Kingdom, where is total lockdown, there are 6,550 confirmed cases with 335 deaths.
