LAGOS, Nigeria – The Department of State Services today received marching orders to release convener of #Revolution Now and Publisher Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore.

Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu ordered the DSS to release Omoyele Sowore within 24 hours and adjourned the matter to Friday(tomorrow), December 6, 2019 for report and continuation of trial.

The DSS refused to release Sowore since October 23, 2019 when Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu varied the bail condition for Sowore and his colleague, Olawale Bakare.

Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu also awarded N100, 000 as cost against the DSS for time wasting and delay in serving the defence counsel with the additional proof of evidence.

Justice Ojukwu who was visably angry with the DSS said the fine must be paid to the defendants before the next adjourned date.

Omoyele Sowore and his colleagues, Olawale Bakare are trial for 7 count charge of terrorism, money laundering and for insulting President Muhammadu Buhari.
