LAGOS, Nigeria – Veteran Nollywood actor, well known for his role in films in the Yoruba genre, Mr. Fasasi Olabanke better known as Pa Dagunro is dead. He died early this morning. It is not clear what would have caused his death.

But notable actors in Nollywood like Prince Jide Kosoko and Adekola Tijani have all confirmed the incident.

In his tribute to the Osogbo born actor, Prince Jide Kosoko wrote: “We are never ready to say goodbye forever even though we know it is a part of life.

“This day our hearts are heavy for losing someone so special, but as we mourn your death, we also celebrate your life. Rest in peace”, he said.

In his reaction, Adekola Tijani wrote, ‘gone too soon boss! May your soul rest in peace. Love you boss but God loves you most. Dagunro Alajiga Ogun. RIP’, he said.
