EFCC arrests 22 internet fraudsters in Delta State, recover luxury cars

SAPELE, Delta, Nigeria – Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 22 suspects from Delta State.
The suspects were arrested during an early morning raid on Friday in a joint operation by the Advance Fee Fraud Section, Abuja Headquarters in collaboration with operatives of the agency from the Benin Zonal Office.
The 22 suspected internet fraudsters were arrested during an early morning raid in Sapele, Delta State.
The suspects, who are between the ages of 18 to 30, were smoked out of their hideout in an early morning operation, following intelligence report gathered by operatives.
A day earlier, operatives from Abuja had arrested 2 in Ughelli. Items recovered from them include laptop computers, iPhones, Android phones, ATM cards and three exotic vehicles – Benz C350, Benz ML 350 and Chrysler 300.
According to the EFCC, the suspects have so far given useful information to operatives of the agency.
