Dapo Abiodun, APC guber candidate promises good roads, health centres
OJODU-ABIODUN, Ogun, Nigeria – The governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun, Mr Dapo Abiodun, on Monday promised better life for residents of Isheri-Ojodu Abiodun and its environs, if elected in the March election. Abiodun made the promise when he took his ward-to-ward campaign train to the area.
He assured the people of greater development, with provision of good road network, health care centres and equitable distribution of resources, if elected.
Abiodun was joined by his running mate, Alhaja Naimot Salako-Oyedele, the Ogun APC candidate for the House of Representatives, Mr Ibrahim Isiaka and candidate of APC for Ogun State House of Assembly, Ifo constituency, Folawewo Salami.
The APC governorship candidate assured the people that if elected governor, his administration would embark on fixing the roads in Ojodu Abiodun, its environs and Ogun State at large. He said he was for full autonomy of local government councils in the state, which would promote good governance and bring government closer to the people at the grassroots.
“I have seen that there are no good roads, no health care centres, lack of good pipe borne water, no public schools and market. If elected, l promise to put all these in place in Ojodu community, its environs and in Ogun as a whole.
“There will be change and development in all the communities in Ogun, no place will be left out of development,” he said.
Abiodun urged the people to go and collect their PVCs, and to come out en-masse to vote for the candidate of their choice without fear or favour. He told the people they would not be disappointed in his administration, if elected,
“We do not promise what we won’t do. When we get to Okemosan Governor’s House in Abeokuta, we will effect a change in the lives of the people. Your roads are bad; a local government without good roads is unacceptable.”
As the campaign train moved to Denro, Akute Yakoyo, and Ajuwon, shouts of Omoluabi greeted Abiodun and his entourage. Also speaking at the rally, APC Aspirant for Ogun State House of Assembly, Ifo 2, Mr Folawewo Salami, described Abiodun as a reliable servant leader with a good heart.
He said that Ogun APC could not have got a better candidate. Salami also urged the people to be patient with President Muhammadu Buhari, that there will definitely be a change for the better in the country.
Speaking with NAN, a resident of the area, Mr Kayode Ajisafe, an interior decorator, urged the APC gubernatorial candidate not to neglect the members of the community and keep to the promises.
“For many years, there are no good roads in Isheri-Ojodu Abiodun and its environs and some parts of Ogun.
” I want the APC governorship candidate to develop the roads, provide good pipe borne water and make life bearable for the people of Ogun. I also plead with the youths not to sell their conscience and not to be used as political thugs for the election,” Ajisafe said.(NAN)
